Passo Gavia 1988: Eric, Andy....and Bob Roll, not at his best

This is epic footage, shot on the descent from the Gavia, the finish of the famous stage that won the Giro for Andy Hampsten. Bundle up before you watch it. It's cold out there....

Thanks, David!

Bob's chapter about it is titled "The Day the Big Men Cried." What else needs to be said?

Nice bit, too bad the weather was so awful (my guess anyway) they couldn't get more footage up in the snow. The descent shown on wet roads is a high-speed, tuck in and go run in the dry, don't even want to think about those poor guys in the pouring rain. When someone asks us why we don't follow the Giro instead of riding these climbs in July (when the weather is perfect) these are the scenes I describe!
