Bike Sharing in Europe - from the NY Times

Inexpensive bike-sharing in several European countries, according to this NY Times article, is not just successful - it's wildly successful. Why wouldn't it work here? Well...

Apparently, one of the reasons is our "preference for wearing helmets."

When the vice-mayor of Lyon speaks about the "critical mass of bikes pacifying traffic," I bet he didn't mean Critical Mass.

I'm glad bikes as transportation are a growing success somewhere in the world.
