In this economy the carmakers will do ANYTHING to jack up sales! It's up to us to support guys like LaHood (who's also an advocate of cycling) to prevent these four-wheeled smart phones from killing us while their distracted pilots play with their "apps" instead of paying attention to where the heck the thing is pointed. If you've ever seen someone driving a car while watching a computer screen at the same time, you know how dangerous this is!
