From the SF Chronicle online, here's a review by Chris Carlsson, one of the founders of Critical Mass, of what sounds like a great new book.

Am I the only one who hates the word "biking"? What happened to CYCLING as in "we cycled to the place" or "we rode our bicycles over there" I just HATE to hear "we biked there" or "are you biking" "are you a biker?" Biking and bikers always reminds me of leather-clad folks on noisy, V-twin motorcycles. In Europe "bikers" (they say "beekers") refers to mountain bike riders. Do I need to simply get over this?
