The mountains you see in the distance are the Rockies, not far away. Tamar and I are south of Pine on the way to Deckers. You see very few road bicycles on Pine Valley Road, but lots of mountain bikes and motorsickles.The mountain bikes are loud and the motorsickles are quiet.... Uh, have I got that right?

Very much enjoy your MSL column and I'd gathered you like (non powered) bikes too. Me? I've got 4 road/touring bikes here in Scotland - all steel - a Cinelli Supercorsa, a Holdsworth Mistral (now s/s-fixed) an old Flying Scot and a custom built tourer, as well as a hybrid bike in France.
My powered bike is a VFR Honda.
Been lucky enough to see the Tour twice.
Keep up the good work-your column is the first thing I read in MSL.
